UBC Sustainable Jobs Mass Timber Project

planned

The United Brotherhood of Carpenters & Joiners of America is launching a nationwide training initiative to prepare workers for Canada's growing mass timber construction sector. The project delivers 10 specialized training modules at select UBC training centres across Canada, focusing on skills needed for low-carbon, modular building systems using mass timber. The program includes classroom instruction and hands-on training, with financial supports to reduce participation barriers, aiming to train 4,000 participants over the program's life.
