Description | The University of Chicago Medicine is expanding its Crown Point facility in Northwest Indiana to meet high demand for care. The expansion includes a 7,442-square-foot addition to the existing 130,000-square-foot building, adding 18 new exam rooms, a new X-ray unit, an operating room, two procedure rooms, and five pre/postsurgical bays. Construction on the multispecialty clinic area will be completed early 2026, and the ambulatory surgery center will finish in spring 2026. The expansion will not impact hospital operations or patient visits as most work occurs after hours. |
