This request for assistance is part of the mission of support and advice for the international development of enterprises and the export of their production, in partnership with AFD. It is linked to CCI Réunion’s engagement with other CCIs in the South-West Indian Ocean Islands within the Indian Ocean Chambers of Commerce and Industry (UCCIOI). The aim is to support the good governance of the Program for Strengthening Commercial Capacity (PRCC) in the Indian Ocean, implemented by the Union of Chambers of Commerce and Industry of the Indian Ocean (UCCIOI), with the co-financing of the French Development Agency (AFD). A partnership agreement governing the implementation of the programme has been signed between AFD and UCIOI. The CCI Réunion was mandated by UCIOI to recruit a Programme Director dedicated to the coordination of the PRCC, seconded to UCIOI headquarters in Mauritius. To situate the context, the UCIOI is an association created in 2005 during the 1st Economic Forum of the Islands of the Indian Ocean (FEIOI) in Madagascar, the result of a desire of its founding members to pool, confront and combine their reflections and actions to promote economic growth within the Indian Ocean zone through the promotion of the region, the facilitation of international economic partnerships, co-development and common strategies to conquer foreign markets.
