Ucluelet - Water Treatment System Upgrades

The District of Ucluelet’s current groundwater source and supplemental seasonal surface water source do not meet current Canadian and BC drinking water regulatory requirements with existing treatment processes. The proposed project will improve the Ucluelet drinking water system and bring compliance with BC drinking water regulations and guidelines. The improvements include: - Improved treatment of the existing Lost Shoe Creek Wellfield to include filtration for manganese removal and provisions for additional disinfection measures; - Related mechanical, electrical, controls, monitoring, safety, and security systems; and - Any related works and appurtenances. These improvements will increase access to potable water and allow the District to meet BC drinking water regulations and guidelines.
