Description | The objectives of the Financial Sector Development Policy Credit Program are to support the development of the market for term finance; and furthering access to financial services fully congruent to Country Assistance Strategy (CAS) commitment to support Government of Uganda's (GoU's) financial sector and pension system reforms. This program document presents a Development Policy Credit to the Republic of Uganda for an amount of SDR 30.9 million (US$50 million equivalent) for the period FY10-FY11. This will be the first in a programmatic series of two operations supporting (GoU's) efforts to further financial sector development. The operation is fully congruent with the National Development Plan (NDP) for 2010/2015 and the Financial Markets Development Plan (FMDP) for 2008-2012 which the authorities have started to implement. |
