Uganda - Institutional Support for External Aid Management Project

The purpose of the project is to create an integrated network of all agencies involved in external aid management in Uganda. The project will utilize the expert services of external consultants to provide technical advice and on-the-job training to Uganda national counterparts who will replace them during the project life. The project will recruit a Program Officer who will be responsible for ensuring the effective management of the Bank Group portfolio in Uganda. Successful implementation of the project will result in improved aid mobilization and increased and sustainable aid management capacity, which will enhance the development impact of external assistance. In addition, the project will strengthen Bank Group's portfolio management in Uganda and enhance the Bank's capacity to coordinate its interventions with other development partners in the country.
