Description | The upgrading of Kyotera-Mutukula road, a section of the Dar es Salaam-Dodoma-Ssaka-Mutukula-Masaka-Kampala road along the lake circuit corridor is in line with the Government’s stated policy on road infrastructure development. The project seeks to support the economic and social recovery programmes taking place in Uganda through the removal of transportation bottlenecks to export facilitation, economic recovery and regional integration. The road will improve transport services between Tanzania, Uganda, Rwanda and Burundi; and would contribute to regional integration. The project output will consist of a two lane 44.6 km bitumen standard road with 6.0 m wide carriageway and two 2.0m sealed shoulders between the two towns of Kyotera and Mutukula. |
