Description | The Seven County Infrastructure Coalition is planning to build the Uinta Basin Railway. The 80-mile route through Indian Canyon will enable Uinta Basin crude oil to be shipped to the existing Union Pacific line. The alignment will include 3 miles of tunnels. The Coalition has signed an agreement with Drexel Hamilton Infrastructure Partners for a public-private partnership to finance and build the railway. The coalition will finance, develop and build the railway. They have partnered with Rio Grande Pacific Corp. to operate and maintain the railroad. Construction is expected to start in 2022 or 2023. The project is valued at $1.2 billion. |
