Ultimate Urban Circulator PPP project in Jacksonville

This project includes modernization and expansion of the existing 2.5-mile long Skyway bi-directional downtown people mover system located in Jacksonville. The Ultimate Urban Circulator (U2C ) will extend the existing 2.5-mile long monorail line system to the 10-mile using the latest autonomous vehicle technologies. The project will be implemented in three-phase with works on the Bay Street Innovation Corridor, the full conversion of the Skyway superstructure, and the expansion into nearby neighborhoodsIn the first phase, the project will see an implementation of the U²C system and will introduce autonomous shuttles along a key three-mile-long transportation corridor along Bay Street that will run from Hogan Street to the Sports & Entertainment District, near TIAA Bank Field, 121 Financial Field, and the VyStar Veterans Memorial Area in Downtown Jacksonville. The second iteration will involve works on alternatives for each of the proposed Skyway extensions.
