Description | The project would comprise: (a) the modernization and expansion of FOB's iron foundry, raising its annual production capacity from 25,000 tons to about 90,000 tons of which about 80,000 tons would be for gray and about 10,000 tons for nodular iron castings; and (b) the doubling of the capacity of the pattern shop. The project would include the expansion and modernization of the melting plant, molding shop, sand-preparation plant, core-making, cleaning and heat treatment facilities, stockyard and material handling and utility systems. It would also include installation of pollution control equipment and improvements in FOB's budget, accounting and financial control systems. |
