Description
Description | UNITED – Understanding and Navigating Integration Through European Discovery is an innovative project designed to provide students with the opportunity to explore the values, challenges, opportunities, and future of the European Union. The project aims to deepen their knowledge of the EU’s institutional structures, core values, and its role in addressing global and regional issues, while fostering a sense of European identity and solidarity. Participants will discover the EU’s major policies and initiatives, including digital transformation, climate action, economic resilience, social solidarity, and participatory democracy. These themes will be explored through interactive activities such as practical workshops, debates, policy simulations, and collaborative research projects. Education about the EU in schools often focuses on history, geography, and economics, without fully addressing its current role. UNITED aims to bridge this gap by offering engaging, interdisciplinary extracurricular activities. These activities will emphasize the EU’s priorities: climate change, digitalization, economic growth, health, well-being, human rights, and active citizenship. The main objective is to develop essential skills such as critical thinking, communication, teamwork, and problem-solving, preparing students to become engaged citizens. Additionally, the project seeks to cultivate a sense of European belonging by encouraging young people to appreciate the EU’s diversity and unity. UNITED aligns with the goals of the Jean Monnet program by promoting dialogue on European integration and inspiring young people to play an active role in shaping a sustainable, inclusive, and innovative European Union. |
