Description
Description | The aim of the project is to contribute to improving the economic and social living conditions and to stabilizing the living situation of Syrian internally displaced persons and local host communities through employment promotion and income-generating measures. The project contributes to maintaining the livelihoods of the beneficiaries and their families and enables them to meet their basic needs in the short term. Furthermore, through training measures, the project contributes to increasing the resilience of those affected to the daily challenges of the existing conflict situation in the medium term. The main measures include the creation of around 6,700 short-term and around 1,400 medium-term jobs through - implementation of employment promotion measures (cash for work), e.g. removal of waste and rubble and the rehabilitation of infrastructure, as well as - support for young adults in the form of training measures, the provision of operating resources for farmers in rural areas to resume self-employment, and support for people with disabilities for reintegration into the labor market. The project will run for 24 months, starting in the fourth quarter of 2019. |
