The FC measure aims to enable Libyan children to attend school and to cushion the psychological stress of everyday life in war. Specifically, 60,000 of 115,000 children in need of support in the area of education are to be reached. To this end, 50 schools are to be rehabilitated, school containers set up, teachers trained, so-called catch-up classes set up and leisure activities carried out. In the area of child protection, care services are to be created for 10,000 children. 3,000 children affected by (sexual) violence are to benefit from therapy services. Germany is providing a contribution of EUR 6.5 million for this. The measures were implemented by UNICEF from January 2017 to December 2019.
