Description | The project involves creating a continuous two-way bike route connecting the Brooklyn Bridge to Union Square by widening the existing one-way bike lane from five feet to 11 feet. This will allow bicycles to travel both north and south, providing a safer and smoother route. The upgraded connection will link the Brooklyn Bridge to the Flatiron District along Lafayette and Centre streets and as Fourth Avenue converges with Broadway. Additional improvements include adding a two-way bike lane around Park Row to facilitate safer access to the Brooklyn Bridge bike path. |
