Union Station - Security Access Tunnel

This will be to implement a Traffic Management Plan for the shared service tunnel, which services Maple Leaf Sports and Entertainment, Maple Leaf Square, Menkes and Union Station. It will help manage the security access and assist in deterring any unauthorized vehicles from entering the tunnel. The access tunnel to Union Station is shared with several property owners, with only one entrance point through the Air Canada Centre. Due to the complexities of sharing the access tunnel, a traffic management plan should be implemented, which includes a computer schedule program that coordinates deliveries, pre-screening, approval in-and-out, and traffic lights at the various loading docks. Funding is required for the computer program and equipment to manage both traffic and loading.
