Description | Infrastructure Ontario, on behalf of Ontario Tourism and Marketing Partnership Corporation (OTMPC), became involved in a unique opportunity to enhance Ontario's tourism presence in Toronto. In partnership with the City of Toronto, a centralized city location was investigated that would accommodate the Ontario Travel Information Centre and the City of Toronto tourism information services in one, high-traffic location.Toronto's Union Station was a natural selection as a key transportation and historic hub of the city since the early part of the Twentieth Century. The new 2,254 sq/ft. Travel Information Centre moves staff from behind counters and into an active retail space with technology and visitor engagement. The new location was also designed to be a barrier-free environment, keeping in line with the government's commitment to accessibility standards. |
