United Farmer & Industry Co. Ltd. has developed a 24-MW waste-to energy power plant at Phu Khieo Chaiyaphum. The plant, currently in operation, uses agricultural waste as fuel and sells 6-MW of power to the Electricity Generating Authority of Thailand (EGAT) under the Small Power Producer (SPP) Program. The PPA was signed on July 19, 1993 and has been selling power to EGAT as of February 22, 1994.
