Description

Description

Our project aims to improve the quality of teaching and learning related to topics dealing with specific content on EU based subjects. With particular attention to EU priorities, its objective is to strengthen a sense of belonging to the EU and the knowledge of European values such as democracy, respect for human dignity and human rights, freedom, equality and fighting any sort of discrimination. It also aims to enhance learning about EU history, institutions, decision making processes, cultural diversity and traditions. The activities we intend to carry out will be taught during the school year and will use innovative teaching and learning methodologies in order to make the topics more attractive for pupils and students. They will be classroom or not classroom learning, they will use digital methodology and include interesting immersive activities such as workshops, meetings with experts, seminars and study visits in our country and abroad, also involving other organisations. The EU based topics will be embedded in the subjects of our official curricula and we will also use collaborative learning and co-teaching. We intend to increase the type and number of persons benefiting from the project: we will involve 15 teachers and 10 of the classes they teach in. The number of students benefiting from the project will be around 200 but the total number of people benefiting from the whole project within our school will be higher thanks to the dissemination activities that will be carried out. The expected results will be a strengthened European identity, active citizenship among students and teachers and a better understanding of the impact the EU has on our lives. The expected outputs could be materials such as e-books, papers, posters, videos, photograph exhibition, magazines, web files, guides, collection of good practices, spread by means of events, meetings and workshops, inside and outside the school. The impact will have relevant effects on target groups.
