Inter Alia’s “United in Change” programme aims to bridge the gap between grassroots initiatives and EU policy making, amplify underrepresented voices, and strengthen community resilience. Our long-term vision centers on empowering young citizens to lead societal developments through mutual learning, civic action and intercultural dialogue. The programme builds on the pillars of knowledge sharing, advocacy and collective action, and it seeks the engagement of groups based on the potential impact its activities could generate, and on their potential of enhancing transformational processes. Youth CSOs, policy and decision makers, marginalised groups and local communities will actively contribute in shaping and participating in the programme’s activities, objectives and long-term sustainability. United for Change encompasses transnational educational activities and multimedia festivals centered on solidarity, equality and non-discrimination; capacity building programmes for citizens, academics, civil society workers and activists to critically explore current challenges connected to citizenship, values and rights; the coordination of advocacy networks contributing to EU policy implementation; a platform introducing youth.led discourse on EU affairs and policy making. Thanks to a transnational approach, United in Change involves 25 EU countries, 42.000 individuals in person and millions more online. UniCa puts in place a three-years workplan which contributes to reducing inequalities, promoting democratic engagement, and fostering cross-border collaboration. Inter Alia will use this grant as an instrument to act as a mediator between community-led initiatives and institutional arenas, encouraging exchange between local and EU levels, and facilitating active participation of citizens by promoting and cultivating democracy, rule of law and good governance, equality and non-discrimination.
