University autonomy in the development of democratic values in higher education: the experience of EU Member States for Ukraine

"The relevance of the project ""University autonomy in the development of democratic values in higher education: the experience of EU countries for Ukraine"" is due to the lag of Ukrainian higher education from European trends in institutional autonomy at the level of university practices. The aim of the project ""University autonomy in the development of democratic values in higher education: the experience of EU countries for Ukraine"" is to provide theoretical and practical training of future PhDs on the implementation of university autonomy in Ukraine based on the experience of EU countries. The implementation of the project includes lectures (60 hours), seminars (60 hours), trainings (44 hours), intensives (16 hours), dedicated to the goals and values of the EU, the principles of democratic governance in society; regulatory support of university autonomy; the role of university autonomy in the processes of sustainable development of civil society, the formation of socially active and responsible citizens, ensuring the quality of higher education; experience of the best policies and practices of EU countries on the implementation of the principles and components of university autonomy. The project includes holding a round table, a debate and a scientific conference. The main expected results of the project: creation of a website; preparation of an e-course ""University autonomy in the development of democratic values in higher education: the experience of EU countries for Ukraine""; publication of 3 scientific articles. The project aims to promote the EU best educational practices among PhD students, higher education teachers and the general public on creating an effective model of university autonomy, development of educational innovations in higher education; the integration of Ukrainian higher education in the European Higher Education Area."
