Description

Description

As part of a planned resurfacing project on University Boulevard (State Road 109) from San Jose Boulevard (State Road 13) to I-95, FDOT is considering median modifications to reduce crashes at high-conflict areas within the project limits. FDOT proposes installation of a directional median opening with traffic separators at Chester Avenue to eliminate the left turn movement from Chester Avenue to westbound University Boulevard, as well as installation of a 4-foot traffic separator from Chester Avenue to Powers Avenue to direct left turn movements to the signalized intersection at Powers Avenue. FDOT also proposes installation of a 4-foot traffic separator from west of Richard Street to east of Cagle Road to direct left turn movements to the signal at Richard Street and installation of a left turn directional median at Cagle Road to eliminate the northbound left turn movement at this intersection.
