Description
Description | Indonesia lacks qualified doctors and health personnel, which severely limits the quality of health care for the population. In addition, there are strong differences in the medical training of health personnel. The situation is exacerbated by the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic. To improve training in the health sector, the Indonesian government is pushing for the construction or completion of university hospitals. The project contributes to this plan. A development loan will finance the completion of the Brawijaya University (UB) teaching hospital in Malang, East Java, and its equipment with modern medical equipment. The borrower is the Republic of Indonesia. The target group is the population of Indonesia, especially the Malang region. The project aims to improve medical care for the Indonesian population and to improve the quality of medical training. For the Class B hospital to be completed with up to 200 beds, in addition to the current treatment focuses of internal medicine, rehabilitation and cardiology, further specializations in the areas of dialysis and oncology are planned. In addition, a simulation center is to be set up for the practical training of medical students on modern medical equipment. |
