University of Massachusetts student accommodation P3 project in Dartmouth

The scope of the project stands for the development of a student housing scheme to be delivered via a P3 model. The main task is to replace outdated first-year student residence halls on the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth's main campus. The new 267,500 square foot housing development will serve 1,210 first-year students, replacing four residence halls that opened in 1976.  The new housing will feature general academic classrooms, a mixture of multimedia and study lounges throughout the facility, two large student lounges with demonstration kitchens, recreation space, wireless internet and multimedia equipment. Also, as a way to encourage collaborative work the north portion will have maker spaces while the south section will have music practice rooms and two computer learning commons.
