Description

Description

The Blood Tribe Employment and Skills Training department (BTEST) is dedicated to helping the Blood Tribe community find and retain meaningful employment. The proposed BTEST building retrofit project will improve the comfort and efficiency of our facility and the success of our programming. It will also lower energy consumption and reduce operating costs and demonstrate energy efficiency leadership. The project scope was identified during our Energy Efficiency training program. Six community youth worked with energy efficiency experts at Greenplanet Energy Analytics (Greenplanet) to understand our energy use in the BTEST building and identify the highest priority energy efficiency retrofits. he assessments identified four areas for high impact: insulating the attic, upgrading our lights to LED, improving insulation and sealing of windows and doors, and building out a solar array. The expected energy efficiency improvements from these projects is 32.4%.
