Description
Description | Updating the 2004 City of Dryden Land Implementation Study for Water, Wastewater, and Stormsewer. This includes updating computer modeling with new and corrected data. This will assist the City in updating their AMP by identifying problem areas in the system. The August 12th/2016 Extreme Weather Event in Dryden provided the City with evidence that some of the City Infrastructure cannot handle the new climate change extremes. Flooding occurred in areas never affected before. New models of our Storm Sewer system need to be re run to determine where the problem areas are and how to remediate. The Wastewater system backed up as well indicating Inflow and Infiltration should be revisited. The Land Implementation plan ensures any replacement of City assets is done in conjunction with efficiencies and effectiveness that the plan offers. The plan not only provides information where the system is at risk but provides alternatives and preferred options. The plan follows the Municipal Class Environmental Assessment (Class EA) . This master planning process allows for integration of Class EA principles with the infrastructure/asset management process for what is currently existing and for the future. This project covers the entire City. |
