Updating the Dollard-Saint-Laurent arena

The project aims to renovate and bring the Dollard-Saint-Laurent arena, located in LaSalle borough. The following elements will also be the subject of work: • replacement of the refrigeration system including construction of an extension to accommodate the system; • upgrading of electromechanical building systems including energy saving measures and redevelopment of electromechanical premises; • work is also planned to ensure universal accessibility for spectators; • redevelopment of the gymnasium, boxing and common rooms sector; • bringing electromechanical systems up to standard; • exterior work necessary for the retention of rainwater and access to the building and the extension; • development of bicycle parking; • a waste recovery station; • gymnastics spaces and other training facilities will be altered to better adapt to operational and security needs; and • related work could be carried out. This project will allow the City of Montreal to provide its population with better quality recreational infrastructure and improve access to it.
