Upgrade of 1,500 Mobile Sites in Ethiopia

Ericsson and Ethio telecom have signed an agreement to modernize and expand Ethio telecom’s telecommunications network by upgrading 1,500 mobile sites. The project includes deploying state-of-the-art Ericsson Radio Access Network products, modernizing existing links, upgrading capacity, and creating new links to enhance network coverage, quality, and capacity. It also targets rural solution sites and upgrades existing 3G sites to 4G to expand connectivity in underserved areas.
