Description
Description | Capital project to complete upgrades as recommended by the Lagoon Needs Study prior to March 31st 2018. If required, we may undertake upgrades if recommended to increase the capacity or lifespan of the peatland system, enhance service to the Six Nations Elected Council owned housing development, Stoneridge Circle, and improve environmental outcomes not just on reserve but for surrounding areas. This system was installed in 1999 to service a 17 home sub-division which also has a daycare. This system has never been assessed. The Mississauga’s of the New Credit First Nation (New Credit) is located directly to the South of the Six Nations of the Grand River Territory and would greatly benefit from upgrades to the Six Nation wastewater system. They would benefit because they have over 60 residences that rely on the Six Nations sanitation truck service where the Six Nations Public Works Department deploys sanitation trucks to these residences when the home owner calls for service to empty their holding or septic tank, transport the human waste to the Six Nations waste water system and discharge the contents into the Six Nations lagoons for treatment and eventual discharge into the McKenzie Creek. |
