Upgrade of Technical capabilities and language skills for the deployment of the GFFF-V Module

The project aims to enhance the technical readiness and operational capacity of the GFFF-V (Ground Forest Fire Fighting using Vehicles) Module to ensure effective deployment within the European Civil Protection Pool (ECPP). This will be achieved through the procurement of essential firefighting equipment and vehicles, infrastructure improvements, and specialized training programs for personnel, including language skills development. Key Activities: 1. Acquisition and Modernization of Vehicles (Command and Control Vehicle Van (4x4), Mobile Repair Vehicle) - Vehicle retrofitting and modifications for enhanced firefighting capabilities. 2. Development of Operational Infrastructure (electrical materials for establishing a self-sufficient operational base) 3. Enhancement of Firefighting Equipment: (Acquisition of fire hoses, pumps, and extinguishers, pumps for high-elevation firefighting in difficult terrain) 4. Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) - Ensuring the safety of firefighters through modern protective gear. 5. Training and Capacity Building: - Theoretical and practical training for fire truck drivers to improve vehicle handling in extreme conditions. - Individual English language courses to facilitate cross-border cooperation and international deployment. Expected Outcomes: - Increased readiness and deployment capacity of the GFFF-V Module within the ECPP. - Enhanced safety and operational efficiency through modernized equipment and vehicles. - Improved international coordination and communication through language training. - Compliance with UCPM standards, ensuring eligibility for EU joint emergency response missions. By implementing these upgrades, the project will strengthen disaster response capabilities, enhance interoperability with EU partners, and ensure the GFFF-V Module is better and fully deployable in emergency situations.
