Upgrade of the Françoise-Bédard Municipal Library

The project consists of upgrading, expanding, and refitting the municipal library located at the Maison de la culture, owned by the City of Rivière-du-Loup. The main works are: • The replacement of floor coverings in the existing spaces on levels one and two of the library; • The demolition of the annex located on the southern part of the building; • The construction of a new L-shaped annex on three levels including a basement on the southern part of the building. The walls will be made of glass and green roofs will be installed. This annex will house reading, animation, training and shelving spaces; • Installation of a ventilation and air conditioning system incorporating fan coil units under the windows to heat and cool the building with aerothermal heat pumps.
