Description

Description

The railway line upgrade project ABS 38 Munich-Mühldorf-Freilassing comprises a bundle of coordinated subprojects extending from the metropolitan area of Munich through South East Bavaria to the German-Austrian border region. Approximately 145 continuous kilometres of the line will be electrified and large parts of it will be upgraded to double track. The currently single-track planning section 3 (PS 3) from Tüßling to Freilassing, which is the subject of this project, is to be double-tracked over a length of approximately 60 km, electrified throughout and upgraded for a speed of up to 160 km/h. In addition, the route class is to be designed for D4 (22.5 t axle load). Due to its geographical location, PS 3 forms the interface to the Austrian railway network. It lies on the Rhine - Danube TEN-T Core Network Corridor and is part of the Magistrale for Europe. The line upgrade will not only make better long-distance connections possible, but also improve the quality and quantity of regional and local transport. In addition, journey time reductions and improvements to the connections, including the service frequency, become possible. The draft planning and approval planning (work phases 3 and 4 according to HOAI) constitute this project. The work packages include the services necessary for the completion of the draft planning and approval planning for the 6 planning approval sections (PFA 3.1 - PFA 3.6) in planning section 3. They are Project management/project control/coordination services, Public relations and visualisation, Draft planning and approval planning for the environmental protection and nature conservation, Draft planning and approval planning of the traffic systems and structural engineering, Draft planning and approval planning of the control and safety technology and Draft planning and approval planning of overhead line/50Hz systems and telecommunication systems.
