Upgrade Seasonal Water lines and Wastewater lines to heated lines for Year round accessibility throughout property

The upgrade to heated water lines and waste water lines will allow all year availability of water and wastewater. New water supply lines will give us the opportunity to isolate the direction of water flow, for flexibility, or isolating certain areas that is not needed. This will allow us to shut water off to areas in case of emergencies or repairs. Providing heat to our passive gray water system will ensure that the flow continues throughout the winter. The construction of a Well housing Facility will further protect the main well source by covering it from the elements and reducing major temperature fluctuations, which would otherwise affect the quality of the assets; rust, swelling, freezing. This housing will give full year round access to the main well fitting(s), no matter the environmental factors. The completion of this project will ensure that safe reliable water is available year round and reduce the impact on the province’s health services. Off Reserve Band members will benefit from the project for when they return to the Missanabie First Nation to live or visit the water will be safe for consumption.
