Description
Description | The project consists of rehabilitating the sewage lagoon in Kugaaruk that is in poor condition and is in contravention of the terms and conditions of the Municipal Water Licence. The project scope includes developing an interim wastewater management system to manage the wastewater during the construction, constructing a geotube pad to hold sludge removed from the bottom of the lagoon to allow for remedial works, de-watering and removing sludge from the current lagoon cell, cleaning the lagoon to prepare for construction, and installing high density polyethylene liner. The project will result in a lagoon that will increase the existing capacity to treat and manage wastewater and storm water. |
