Description

Description

I) Existing surface aerators are highly inefficient in terms of process and energy. Installation of 4 high efficient surface aerators will replace the old and aging aerators and result in better treatment process, energy savings and reduce the carbon footprint. ii) Replace the aging Motor Control Center (MCC) Panels with new diesel transfer switch, pump and aerator panels. This will result in more reliable and efficient supply in the system and, reduce energy and carbon footprint. Aging MCC panels are also becoming a major health & safety risk. The diesel generator transfer switch will also be replaced. Due to age, it is becoming unreliable. iii) The main raw pumps for the collection system which pump to the Colchester Lagoon are aged. Due to age, the raw pumps will be replaced with 2 new high efficient pumps which include Variable Frequency Drives. This will result in a more reliable and efficient supply in the system with less breakdown, reduce energy and the carbon footprint. All piping and valving will also be replaced since it is quickly deteriorating due to age and constantly being in a hazardous environment. This will also result in a more reliable and efficient supply in the system with less chance of breakdown. A new raw flow meter will also be installed to assist with operations and compliance. Engineering services will have to be utilized
