Description
Description | Upgrades include the purchase and installation of a new natural gas standby generator (with sound enclosure) on a reinforced concrete pad, new emergency shower/eyewash system, structural upgrades to the chemical room floor, removal of the communications tower and coordination of the Hydro Ottawa pole mounted transformer replacement. The supply and installation of the generator is required to ensure continuous delivery of drinking water - even during power outages, which have disrupted the delivery of drinking water several times in recent years. The Munster Hamlet Communal Well System is approximately 40 years old and serves the water customers in Munster Hamlet. The pump station building is located on Coldstream Drive southeast of Munster Hamlet. It consists of a single story structure with a basement housing three (3) high lift pumps and other process equipment. The work will replace the current temporary mobile diesel generator. It will be located south of the pump station building and it will power the Munster Pump Station and the future connection to Munster Well #2. |
