Upgrades to the Pickerel River Water Treatment Plant and Tower of supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA) System

Pickerel River water Treatment Plant requires a Supervisory Control Data Acquisition System Upgrade and electrical wiring upgrade to the Water Treatment Tower to ensure water continues to flow out of water treatment tower. We presently have a Bristol Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) system but it is not working sufficiently and is showing signs of failure. We are looking at the installation of an allen bradley compact PLC system. This system is what controls the water treatment plant and water tower which we are urgently in need of to continue to maintain our water to community members to control the chlorine intake and so we don’t open the valves. Also with the replacement of a Iconics Genesis Supervisory Control Data Acquisition Software with the Allen bradley factory talk view Supervisory Control Data Acquisition system with development and runtime software for both the Supervisory Control Data Acquisition and Programmable Logic Controller hardware. This equipment will monitor the water and ensure control of water tower and treatment plant. All computer monitoring and all wiring is done at the water tower on-site. The operations must have the same tool and devices. The computer Supervisory Control Data Acquisition control Graphics is one of these components. The new runtime and software will have a one year support. This project will ensure safe, reliable water supply and reduce the potential burden on the Provincial health system.
