Description

Description

The aim of the project is to upgrade the changing rooms and washrooms for the mechanics at the service centre. This project will help maintain the integrity and operability of the Société de transport de Trois-Rivières’ (STTR) infrastructure, particularly the garage. The garage is essential to the STTR’s operations, mainly because it is the designated location for carrying out all maintenance activities on the bus fleet. These maintenance activities can only be carried out by qualified personnel, i.e. bodybuilders, labourers, mechanics, service staff, etc. Together, these staff carry out all repairs to the fleet, ensuring its reliability and safety. Vehicle maintenance and repair involves all these resources working in a very dirty environment. Oil, dust, debris and odours are omnipresent. For reasons of safety and hygiene, working in such an environment makes it necessary for maintenance staff to take a shower at the end of their shift. In this context, the garage changing rooms, which include lockers, showers and toilets, are essential facilities for the operation of the garage and the maintenance of the bus fleet.
