Upgrading the generator at the Hôpital de Chandler

The project aims to install a generator at the Hôpital de Chandler to maintain a maximum number of essential services in the event of a power failure. The existing generator does not have the capacity (KW) to keep the building ventilation system in operation in the event of a failure. The new generator will therefore be able to guarantee power to the ventilation systems of the operating room, intensive care, long-term care unit, emergency room as well as all negative pressure rooms to reduce the risk of contamination. The project will support pandemic response and economic recovery, notably by maintaining and upgrading health infrastructure.
