Description
Description | This application aims to enhance response time and improve operational capacity of the MEVAC capacity of the General inspectorate of Aviation, consisting in two Ambulance aircrafts, dedicated to medical evacuations, to a state of readiness and availability, as part of the ECPP under the UCPM. Therefore, the project aim to upgrade the storage facilities and in-aircraft communication tools for the 2 air ambulance airplanes, of the existing MEVAC capacity of IGAv. The proposed solution for upgrading, involves purchasing a modular hangar, needed to securely store both airplanes and medical equipment, ensuring faster mobilization and faster transportability and more efficient resource management, during emergencies situations, within the UCPM. Additionally, the installation of advanced communication technology, on board of the air ambulances, will enable real-time chat and permanent satellite tracking, facilitating seamless coordination between the crew and ground support teams. The modular hangar will serve as a secure, weather-resistant, and strategically positioned facility, allowing immediate access to mission-critical equipment. By eliminating the need to transport medical supplies from an off-site location, this initiative will significantly reduce readiness time from 120 minutes to 90 minutes or even less. The integration of in-aircraft communication tools will further enhance operational flexibility, enabling real-time coordination, particularly in rapidly evolving crisis zones. This system will be fully deployable and accessible to the Liaison Officer, who can utilize it for tasking, ensuring smoother and more efficient missions. The project will be developed and managed by the Department for Emergency Situations (DSU), inside the Ministry of Internal Affairs, that also coordinates the General Inspectorate of Aviation (IGAv). |
