Information Department of water resources-MH - II has come up with Upper Pen Ganga Project with a ticket size of 1511.83 INR Crores. This project in Irrigation sub-sector involves The current status of the project is Notice to Proceed and is being developed through the EPC route. Economic/Social Impact of the Project The project is included under Centrally Sponsored Scheme, PMKSY-AIBP and prioritized in 2016 for early completion. The project envisages utilization of about 33.355 TMC of water potential available from Penganga as well as its tributary, the Kayadhu river, The Project components are as follows [i] Construction of an earthen dam namely Isapur Dam having a length of 3870 m and maximum height of 47 m across the Penganga river with gross storage of 1241.43 M. cum. And live storage as 958.43 cum. [ii] Sapli Dam across Kayadhu river, 2946 m long and maximum height 20.795 m has been proposed near village Sapli Taluka Kalamnuri Dist. Hingoli, with Gross storage as 241.355 M. cum & live storage as 198.78 M. Cum. During inclusion of Project under PMKSY-AIBP in 2016 Balance Cost of the Project was Rs 722.93 crore Eligible Central Assistance was Rs 241.966 crore CA released since 2016 till June 2023- 500.71 crore State Share released through NABARD under LTIF till October 2021- Rs 397.73 crore Physical progress- 93.70 percentage Financial Progress- 89.48 percentage Ultimate Irrigation Potential is 44470 Ha Irrigation Potential created till June 2023- 41587 Ha Projected Date of Completion- March 2024
