Description | The California Tahoe Conservancy, in cooperation with the California Department of General Services, is demolishing the former Motel 6 on the Upper Truckee Marsh South property in South Lake Tahoe. The project involves removing hazardous materials, demolishing and removing vacant buildings, removing building slabs, footings, and paved parking areas, and grading and stabilizing soils to prevent storm water runoff. The work aims to remove aging development from ecologically valuable floodplain and prepare the site for future wetland habitat restoration and enhanced recreation. |
