Description
Description | The UPSHIFT project is an innovative initiative designed to empower youth aged 16 to 25 across Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, North Macedonia, and Albania. Through a comprehensive approach that combines capacity building, civic engagement, social innovation, peacebuilding, and strategic communication, the project aims to equip young individuals with critical thinking, leadership, and digital literacy skills. These skills will enable them to address community challenges, foster social cohesion, and contribute to democratic processes and the evolving global job market. The UPSHIFT project's impact extends beyond individual participants, influencing communities and policies by instilling a culture of proactive civic engagement and innovation among youth. It aims to build a network of empowered young leaders capable of initiating change, fostering peace, and contributing to societal development, setting a precedent for future youth-oriented programs across the region. Led by Genesis Project, with partners including LEAD MK, HERMES, and Nisma ARSIS, the project is structured around five work packages (WPs). WP4 emphasizes peacebuilding and inclusivity, fostering an environment of tolerance and collaboration. Lastly, WP5 focuses on communication and dissemination, spreading the project's message and achievements to a broader audience. Each partner brings unique expertise to the project, ensuring a holistic approach to youth empowerment.
