Centrus Energy is undertaking a multi-billion-dollar expansion of its uranium enrichment capacity by adding thousands of AC100M centrifuges at its American Centrifuge Plant in Piketon, Ohio. The expansion aims to produce Low-Enriched Uranium (LEU) and High-Assay, Low-Enriched Uranium (HALEU) to meet commercial and U.S. national security demands. Fluor Corporation serves as the EPC contractor overseeing engineering, design, project management, and procurement, while Geiger Brothers, Inc. is the construction contractor responsible for on-the-ground construction work.
