The building will house various municipal offices including City Planning, Town Planning, and Town Development departments, along with state government offices. The project is planned on a 5,304 sq m plot and requires approval for a Rs 96 crore tender. The site was previously the office of AMC's chief city planner and later used as a parking area for food vans. The project was initially planned six years ago but remained dormant until recent revisions increased the building height from 7 to 10 storeys. The AMC has also included office space for consultant-cum-registrar engineers involved in plan passing and city planning activities. |
