Description | The loan would finance a four-year time slice (1986-89) of the Korea Land Development Corporation's (KLDC) land development program and the implementation of the Policy Statement and Institutional Development Program (PSDIP). This includes: (i) the strengthening of KLDC financial management; (ii) improved criteria for physical planning; (iii) a review of cost allocation and pricing policies; (iv) establishment of project planning and financial management information systems and the annual updating of short and medium term corporate plans; (v) the establishment of training programs and the construction of a training center; and (vi) the establishment of computerized accounting and payroll systems. The project land development component includes the acquisition of 3,600 ha of land and the development of 2,700 ha of land for housing and 1,000 ha of land for industrial sites. In total, about 3,700 ha of serviced land spread over 120 sites would be supplied (available for sale) by KLDC during this period. |
