Description | The Sites and Services Project consists of infrastructure for 7,000 self-help housing lots with individual sanitary units for all lots and basic dwelling for one-half of the lots; related community facilities (e.g., schools, health centers, community centers); a construction materials fund to facilitate self-help extension of houses; a small industries loan fund; technical assistance and training for FSVM staff; assistance to Government for an urban land use and squatter upgrading study and a study on housing mortgage interest rates in El Salvador; preparation of future sites and services and squatter upgrading projects; and monitoring and evaluation of the project. |
