US 290 Giddings Mobility Study

At the request of the Giddings City Council and Lee County Commissioners Court, TxDOT is initiating the US 290 Giddings Mobility Study to develop and evaluate preliminary options to improve mobility, safety and emergency response times and to address conflicts with the railroad in the City of Giddings in Lee County. The proposed improvements through this study would address current traffic issues in downtown Giddings and plan for future growth. The purpose of this study, in collaboration with local stakeholders and the public, is to arrive at locally recommended improvement options to address current and future needs. Further project development, including schematic design, environmental review and funding, would depend on the outcome of the mobility study.
