US 98 “Around the Mound” PD&E Study

FDOT will hold a hybrid public alternatives meeting concerning the US 98 “Around the Mound” PD&E study in Okaloosa County Tuesday, Feb. 20 from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. (CST).Citizens are encouraged to attend the virtual meeting at https://nwflroads.com/calendar. Those who are unable to participate virtually may attend the meeting in-person at the Destin Fort Walton Beach Convention Center, 1250 Miracle Strip Parkway SE, Fort Walton Beach. Pre-registration is required for the virtual format and encouraged for in-person attendees.This meeting is being held to provide interested persons an opportunity to review and provide input on two build alternatives that have been developed to address capacity and safety issues on U.S. 98 around the downtown area of Fort Walton Beach. The intent of this study is to evaluate multiple alternatives and how they will impact safety and traffic in the area.Public participation is held without regard to race, color, national origin, age, sex, religion, disability, or family status.
