US Golden Dome Missile Security System

Planned

The US Golden Dome is a new and ambitious missile security system announced by US President Donald Trump on May 20, 2025. It aims to quickly detect, track, and destroy enemy missiles through a network of satellites equipped with real-time data sharing, radar intelligence, and AI-based tracking and fire command. The system is inspired by Israel's Iron Dome but is space-based and much larger in scope. The initial budget is $25 billion, with the total construction cost estimated at around $175 billion. The entire construction will be done in America, with General Michael Guetlin appointed as the director and supervising commander. Canada has shown interest in participating, and the project may open doors for partnerships with NATO countries.
