Description | MoDOT Kansas City will be replacing the U.S. 24 bridge over Delaware St. in Independence, MO. This project will begin construction in fall 2019. This bridge is just south of the Harry S. Truman Library and Museum which will be closed at the same time of the project for renovations. The goals of this project include: Replacing the structure economically. Minimize traffic impacts along U.S. 24. Provide context-sensitive aesthetic enhancements. Stay within the existing right of way footprint. This bridge is included in Gov. Mike Parson’s $351 million Focus on Bridges program, which will repair or replace 250 bridges across the state. |
